lay off the jumping flo - step 1.

I got back to running pretty quick after my daughter Grace without any trouble and looking back, found this vid of me having completed a triathlon with no bother whatsoever.

But 18 months after the boy...the same cannot be said.

Somethings gotta give....Okay, so I have decided to lay off running for the time being.

Did my last run yesterday with A in the buggy and managed 1.5k before feeling like I couldn't keep control. The loading impact is not doing me any favours.

This choice is not for everyone- plenty of women decide to carry on and there are some amazing pessaries/pads to support them whilst they work on their pelvic floor.

But I feel GOOD about my choice.

It will force me to take my own advice, focus on my areas of weakness, and I will build back up to running with a stronger base.

I have given myself a talking to, it does NOT mean I can't stay fit- in fact it means quite the opposite.

calliejoyblack on instagram recently posted a simple guide for women who want to return to running post-natally.... check it out...
