C-section- spinal block pain.

When a spinal block is administered during a C-section, a needle is inserted into the lower back to deliver anaesthesia. This can lead to soreness and tenderness around the injection site as it heals.

💡 So, what can you do to ease the ache? Here are a few tips:

1️⃣ Take it easy: Avoid heavy lifting and strenuous activities that could aggravate the pain. 2️⃣ Heat therapy: Applying a warm compress or taking a warm bath can help relax tense muscles and alleviate discomfort.

3️⃣ Gentle stretches: Incorporate gentle stretching exercises.

4️⃣ Good posture: Maintain proper posture while sitting, standing, and lifting to reduce strain on your back.

5️⃣ Pain relief: Over-the-counter pain medications like paracetamol or ibuprofen can provide temporary relief. Just remember to consult with your healthcare provider before taking any medication.

But when should you seek medical help?

If you experience any of the following symptoms, it’s important to get checked out: 🔴 Increasing pain that doesn’t improve with rest or self-care. 🔴 Numbness or weakness in your legs. 🔴 Difficulty controlling your bladder or bowel movements. 🔴 Redness, swelling, or drainage at the injection site.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider if you have any concerns. #CSectionRecovery #postnatalBackPain #PostpartumCare #csectionbackpain
